EverythingToolbar: Embed Everything's Search into the Windows Taskbar
Introduction
Everything is widely recognized as the fastest file search tool on Windows — results appear instantly as you type — but by default it requires opening a separate window. EverythingToolbar integrates it directly into the taskbar, keeping the search box always at hand for a more Spotlight-like experience.
You’ll need to install Everything itself first and keep it running; EverythingToolbar essentially gives it a new entry point. It supports filtering by file type, regex search, dragging files directly from results, and setting a global hotkey to bring up the search box. It also automatically follows the system light/dark theme.
Note: Windows 10 and 11 only.
Installation
1 | winget install srwi.everythingtoolbar.launcher |
You can also download the installer from the Releases page.
